About
The goal of the Ballard Center for Social Impact is to help students develop the faith and skills to solve social problems by matching their skills and interests with educational experiences that lead to a meaningful life of Doing Good. Better.
At Ballard Brief, the research arm of the Ballard Center, we believe that effectively solving social problems begins with understanding them. Our briefs are written by undergraduate and graduate students who spend a semester learning the research and writing styles implemented by the Ballard Center. Each student is paired with a highly trained editor who helps them master our approach to educating others about social issues.
Purpose
Ballard Briefs provide a holistic view of the complex challenges facing people worldwide through rigorous research and investigative analysis. Our research focuses on the context, contributing factors, negative consequences, and best practices of each issue. Ballard Briefs act as an accessible starting point for readers to understand the nuances of each social problem presented in our database. We aid individuals looking to learn more about causes they care about, help people start a nonprofit, launch a social venture, volunteer, or enhance corporate social responsibility initiatives.
